National Sheriffs’ Association Convenes in New Orleans Jan. 16-19

WHAT: National Sheriffs’ Association’s 2008 Winter Conference

WHERE: JW Marriott Hotel

WHEN: Wednesday, Jan. 16-Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008

DETAILS:

Approximately 750 sheriffs and other law enforcement professionals will meet over four days in New Orleans to discuss important criminal justice issues, browse exhibits featuring state-of-the-art technology and equipment for law enforcement and hear from high level Congressional, State, Local, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Justice officials during the National Sheriffs’ Association’s (NSA) Winter Conference.

With its headquarters located in Alexandria, Virginia, NSA is the voice of elected law enforcement. NSA is a non-profit association of more than 22,000 members dedicated to serving the criminal justice field and we have proudly represented the 3,088 elected sheriffs of this Nation for more than sixty-seven years.

  • Plenary Session I, featuring Jack Enter, Ph.D., Thursday, Jan. 17, Ile de France II/III (3rd Floor), 8:30-9:30 a.m. New Orleans Mayor C. Ray Nagin will attend.
  • Seminar #3, featuring Joe Howard, Wayne Wicks and Sheriff Harold Eavenson, Thursday, Jan. 17, Ile de France II (3rd Floor), 3:30-6 p.m.
