HARRAH’S NEW ORLEANS JAZZES UP THE NIGHT When the Sun goes Down at Jazz Fest Head to Harrah’s Theatre
NEW ORLEANS – March 31, 2008 – When Jazz Fest winds down, the party begins at Harrah’s New Orleans.
Come celebrate Jazz at Harrah’s Theatre with a performance by Sophisticated Ladies…Women in Jazz, featuring Germaine Bazzle, BJ Crosby, Leah Chase and Topsy Chapman, April 26, at 9 p.m.
This talented group of ladies will pay tribute to the finest Jazz composers, songwriters and vocalists of all time, including Duke Ellington.
New Orleans' own Deacon John and the Ivories visit Harrah’s Theatre May 2, at 9 p.m.
Deacon John’s instrumental riffling can be heard on recordings such as Lee Dorsey's "Working in the Coal Mine," Ernie K-Doe's "Mother-In-Law," and Irma Thomas' "Ruler of My Heart".
His speciality for slide guitar helped him become a local treasure. He was inducted into the Louisiana Blues Hall of Fame in 2000.

Groove to the sultry voice of Rosie Ledet and the heart thumping, soulful sounds of Nathan & the Zydeco Cha Chas at Harrah’s Theatre, May 3, at 9 p.m.
