Celebrate Mother's Day at NOLA's Hot Restaurants

Trinity, the bustling restaurant and bar on Lower Decatur, is inviting families to celebrate mom's special day with specialty Mother's Day cocktails and a la carte brunch items. Sip on refreshing libations like the Prima - a shaken chilled drink with City of London Gin, two sprigs of tarragon, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice and simple syrup infused with tarragon ($12); or Peter Piper with blended San Marzano Tomatoes, basil puree, pickled peppers, garlic, balsamic, lemons, salt, pepper, and Cathead Vodka ($10). Enjoy delectable dishes like Boudin Noir and Fried Oyster with poached egg and béarnaise; Baked Harbison from Jasper Hill Creamery served on toast with seasonal fruit; Pork Hash and Grits with poached egg, crispy pork, fontina grits and roasted peppers; and Warm Brussels Sprouts and Frisèe Salad with crispy prosciutto, pickled red onions and a spicy sesame dressing. DTB, one of this season's hot new restaurants on Oak Street, is inviting diners to celebrate Mother's Day with newly launched brunch options and specials. Menu highlights include: Blue Crab Toast with cauliflower, brie, shaved fennel and pickled lemon; Banana Beignets with bacon, strawberries and pecan cane syrup; Ricotta Frittata with charred broccoli rabe, marinated tomatoes and pickled chiles; Crawfish Pie Benedict with oyster mushrooms, poached egg and crystal mash Hollandaise; and their signature Mushroom Boudin Balls with eggplant, smoked mayo and collard pickles. Compere Lapin is celebrating Mother's Day with an array of a la carte brunch items by renowned Chef/Owner Nina Compton featuring Zucchini and Corn Fritters with green bean remoulade; Chilled Shrimp with coconut curry and tostones; Coconut French Toast with a pecan rum sauce; Chicken and Smoked Mushroom Hash with a poached egg; and Goat Bolognese with potato gnocchi and egg. Additional specials for the day include Deviled Scotch Eggs, Baccaola Agnolotti and Passion Fruit Crème Brûlée.
