Plan your escape to the Pre-Broadway premiere of the new musical about the choices we make - and the people we become - once we've had a change in latitude.

Imagine a place where the sun is hot, the water's warm, and the drinks are as cold as they are plentiful. Welcome to Margaritaville, the island paradise where city folk get away from it all, and the locals get into the kind of trouble you can almost always sweet talk your way out of. Take a break from your troubles, make some new friends at the bar, and kick back to the soothing sounds of the kettledrum. It doesn't get much better than this.

ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE is the musical comedy getaway featuring both original songs and the most-loved Jimmy Buffett classics, including "Come Monday," "Volcano," "Cheeseburger in Paradise," and many more. With a book by Emmy® Award winner Greg Garcia ("My Name Is Earl," "Raising Hope") and Emmy® Award nominee Mike O'Malley ("Survivor's Remorse," "Shameless"), this rousing and refreshing new production is choreographed by Tony Award® nominee Kelly Devine (Come From Away, Rock of Ages) and directed by Tony Award® winner and La Jolla Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley (Come From Away).

The creative team also includes Scenic Designer Walt Spangler, Tony Award®-winning Costume Designer Paul Tazewell, two-time Tony Award®-winning Lighting Designer Howell Binkley, two-time Tony Award®-winning Sound Designer Brian Ronan, Tony Award®nominee Christopher Jahnke as Music Supervisor, and 101 Productions, Ltd. as General Management.

As previously announced, ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE is having its world premiere at the Tony Award®-winning La Jolla Playhouse in La Jolla, California, now through July 9. Following La Jolla, the production of ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE will make it pre-Broadway premiere in New Orleans followed by stops in Houston and Chicago before setting sail to Broadway and the Marquis Theatre in New York City, where performances begin February 16, 2018.

ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE travel packages are available via the show's official travel provider, The Travel Team, at TTTescape.com.

Saenger Theatre
Originally built in 1927, the Saenger Theatre was designed to reflect a magnificent 15th century Italian courtyard and gardens, with a starlit evening sky ceiling, arched surroundings, statuary, columns and decorative moldings. In January 2012, the City of New Orleans, Canal Street Development Corporation (CSDC) and ACE Theatrical Group formed a public-private partnership to carry out a $52 million restoration project after the iconic theatre was severely damaged during Hurricane Katrina. The Saenger Theatre reopened in the fall of 2013, authentically restored to the finest level of detail, with state-of-the-art technological improvements and updated first-class amenities. The theatre hosts a wide variety of performing arts attractions including live theater, comedy shows and musical acts. The Saenger Theatre is located at the corner of Canal and North Rampart streets in downtown New Orleans and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
