Friends of City Park's MARTINI MADNESS raises proceeds
for restoration of 100 year old Popp Bandstand.

Friends of City Park will host its annual Martini Madness fundraising event on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 8 p.m. - 11 p.m. at City Park's Arbor Room at Popp Fountain.

Martini Madness features over 30 specialty martinis, ranging from classics to one-of-a-kind creations like a Basil Lemon Drop Martini, Blackberry Thyme Martini, Watermelon Cooler, and a Make Your Own Martini Bar! One of the featured martini stations will be the winner from the OffBeat Magazine Martini Week contest. Guests will also enjoy delicious cuisine from more than 25 local restaurants like NOSH, Banana Blossom, Dickie Brennan's, The Halal Guys, Rosedale, and more!

The evening will kick off with a splash of fun at 7 p.m. - "Before the Madness", an early VIP hour of the event with reserved seating into the night and at 8 p.m. the doors open for the "Madness" to begin. This year the fundraiser will present a Beer Garden area with local brewery favorites such as Brieux Carre Brewing Co., Gordon Biersch Brewery, Port Orleans Brewing Co., Second Line Brewing, Urban South Brewery, and Wayward Owl Brewing Co.

All proceeds from Martini Madness 2017 will benefit the restoration of Popp Bandstand. This iconic structure celebrates its 100th anniversary this year as it was dedicated on July 4, 1917.

Martini Madness has become one of the fastest growing fundraising events hosted by Friends of City Park with the event selling out the past 3 years. With a limited number of tickets being sold, Friends of City Park's most daring supporters should purchase tickets in advance. Less than 100 tickets remain and can be purchased at www.friendsofcitypark.com or by calling 504-483-9376. Tickets include all food and beverages. Attendees must be 21 years or older to attend.
