About the artist
A jazz vocalist from New Orleans, Robin Barnes grew up surrounded by music alongside her family's jazz band, The Soul Heirs, and with the influence of her cousin Dave Bartholomew. She started singing in her church choir and ultimately learned to marry classic and new techniques to create her own unique blend of funky jazz, soul and R&B. With her powerful voice, she captivates audiences with her renditions of popular songs and contemporary classics, and is known for making each show her own. Barnes was voted Favorite New Orleans Musician by New Orleans magazine and is a New Orleans Tourism Ambassador. Her latest EP, "Songbird Sessions," debuted at #5 on the Billboard Traditional Jazz Charts in 2016.

Capacity is limited and the event is designed for a standing audience. Outside chairs, food and beverages are not permitted on the premises. In the event of rain or inclement weather, visit www.hnoc.org or call (504) 523-4662 for updates.
