Garden & Gun Names New Orleans One of The South's 10 Best Food Towns
Designation includes a food tour itinerary featuring top local restaurants

 

NEW ORLEANS - (September 27, 2017) - New Orleans has earned the title of one of Garden & Gun's South's 10 Best Food Towns in the October/November issue, now on newsstands. This designation includes a feature story describing a comprehensive weekend food tour, showcasing the ultimate ways to eat and drink your way through New Orleans.

The issue's feature story highlights several local eateries that contribute to New Orleans being recognized as a top culinary destination, including: Antoine's, Arnaud's French 75, Bakery Bar, Commander's Palace, Compère Lapin, Crescent Park, Croissant d'Or, Galatoire's, Killer Poboys, Latitude 29, Maypop, MoPho, Morning Call near the New Orleans Museum of Art, Pêche, Revel Café & Bar, Turkey and the Wolf, Willa Jean and Willie Mae's Scotch House.

"New Orleans continues to weave together one of the most unique culinary scenes in the country, blending our beloved traditional fare with contemporary twists. Our inclusion on this list revalidates that we are one of the world's most beloved cities and is a testament to our chefs and restauranteurs who work to make the Crescent City's dining experience unlike any other," said Stephen Perry, President and CEO of the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau.

"We are excited that New Orleans has been named a great Southern food town by Garden and Gun," said Mark Romig, President and CEO of New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation.
