SAVE OUR CEMETERIES ANNOUNCES ALL SAINTS SOIRÉE FUNDRAISER

2017 All Saints Soirée to Benefit Cemetery Preservation & Restoration Projects

NEW ORLEANS, LA - SEPTEMBER 26, 2017 - Save Our Cemeteries, in partnership with New Orleans Catholic Cemeteries, announced today that it will hold its fall fundraising event, the All Saints Soirée, on Thursday, October 26, 2017, from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm (CDT), at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, 3421 Esplanade Avenue, New Orleans, LA.

The evening event, taking place among a backdrop of New Orleans' unique and historic above-ground tombs, will feature a patron party that includes a special presentation by Honorary Chair Poppy Tooker, producer and host of Louisiana Eats!, paired with specialty food and cocktails. The Soirée will follow with entertainment by the Truffle Honeys and the Courtyard Kings, tours of the cemetery, wine and spirits, and a live auction for an anticipated audience of approximately two hundred guests. Proceeds from the Soirée will benefit Save Our Cemeteries restoration and preservation efforts at historic cemeteries throughout the city, and to ensure these beautiful iconic New Orleans landmarks are protected for generations to come.

"We are excited to partner with New Orleans Catholic Cemeteries for our Soirée fundraiser on the grounds of such a beautiful cemetery," states Amanda Walker, Executive Director at Save Our Cemeteries. "We are also thrilled to have the wonderful Poppy Tooker serve as our Honorary Chair for this year's event." Ms. Walker continues, "The proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit our ongoing and future preservation and restoration projects, like the ‘Open Tombs' project that we are currently conducting in city cemeteries."

For individuals who would like to attend the 2017 All Saints Soirée, please contact Save Our Cemeteries at (504) 525-3377 or through their website, www.saveourcemeteries.org.
