NEW YORK, Jan. 17, 2008 - Tickets for the 2008 NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas will go on sale Thursday, Jan. 17 at 1:00pm CST/2:00pm EST. Jam Session Spokesperson and New Orleans Hornets Point Guard Chris Paul will be at the New Orleans Arena to donate 100 Jam Session tickets to local children from the Recovery School District as part of NBA Cares. In addition, the first 50 fans in line at the New Orleans Arena box office beginning at 1:00pm will receive a free ticket to Jam Session from Chris Paul.

”NBA All-Star Jam Session is one of my favorite events during All-Star. It is an experience of a lifetime for kids and fans of all ages. Jam Session is a great way for fans to get close to the NBA and join in the excitement of All-Star in New Orleans,” said Paul. “I’m excited to be in a position where I can give back to the community and give kids the chance to have a lot of fun.”

NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas provides fans the once in a lifetime experience of participating in the NBA All-Star excitement. Fans have the opportunity to meet and collect free autographs from NBA Players and Legends and see some of their favorite NBA players, mascots, dance teams, and celebrities as they hit Center Court in a variety of basketball competitions, including the Legends Shootout, Celebrity Slam Dunk contest, and Mascot Skills Challenge. Young fans can hang out at Kids Zone - with hoops and interactive activities that are the perfect size for kid’s slam dunks, three-pointers and jump shots. Jam Session is non-stop basketball action where fans can shoot, slam, dribble and drive all day, compete against their friends in skills challenges, or get basketball tips from NBA Players and Legends.

Jam Session has become one of the league’s premier events at All-Star, with tickets selling out in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Philadelphia.

Located at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Jam Session dates and times are:

Friday, February 15 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Saturday, February 16 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Sunday, February 17 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM

SLAM DUNK COURTS

Fans show off their style and skill with gravity-defying, acrobatic dunks on seven- eight- or nine-foot baskets.

CENTER COURT

Jam Session Center Court is a mini-NBA arena complete with a regulation-size hardwood basketball court featuring non-stop NBA style entertainment where fans can get up close and personal to NBA stars and celebrities on hand to take part in basketball games and skills contests.
