NOLA Pyrate Week Convenes in New Orleans March 26-April 4, 2010

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 25, 2010

NOLA Pyrate Week Convenes in New Orleans March 26-April 4, 2010
Pyrates partner with Lowernine.org to help rebuild New Orleans

WHAT: NOLA Pyrate Week

WHERE: Dutch Alley (French Market), Marigny, Lower Garden District
(NOLA Pyrate Week Official Map http://j.mp/b4nYU3)

WHEN: March 26-April 4, 2010

DETAILS:
NOLA Pyrate Week is 10 days of swashbuckling, art, music, food, events and general camaraderie among the Pyrates of New Orleans – past & present – and their mates from around the globe. During their visit, Pyrates commit their time and talents for three, eight-hour days, giving back to the city they love by volunteering with rebuilding projects like lowernine.org and raising funds for many others.

NOLA Pyrate Week’s mission is to promote awareness and attention to the city of New Orleans and was originally conceived and developed in the heart of New Orleans by a small group of like-minded “Pyrates of The New World.” Miz Mardi Claw (Bos'un), QM Seika Hellbound & Capt. John Swallow have been joined by many other Pyrates, artists, musicians, community/charitable organizations, Krewes, local businesses and other citizens who support the NOLA Pyrate creed: “Take what ye can…GIVE something back!”™

In keeping with this creed, NOLA Pyrate Week will auction off a one week stay in a Jamaican Pyrate Hideaway, with all proceeds supporting Goodchildren Social Aid & Pleasure Club, Dogs Of The 9th Ward, lowernine.org and Wetlands Preservation. This spectacular prize was generously donated by Stone Harbour Press. For more details on how to bid online, visit http://nolapyrateweek.com/wp/volunteers-donations/jamaican-pyrate-hideaway-auction.
