DETAILS: More than 6,000 higher education professionals from around the world will attend SunGard Summit 2011 in New Orleans March 20-23. SunGard Summit, the annual conference for SunGard Higher Education customers, is the ultimate higher education learning experience. The focus for SunGard Summit is to bring together higher education institutions and new technologies and learning tools to provide students with the best learning experiences.
The SunGard Summit will sponsor a community program event that will help give back to the City of New Orleans. SunGard Summit is working with ReNEW Charter Management Organization in helping a local charter school clean, repair, paint and refurbish.
Additionally, the annual SunGard Summit Charity Benefit Raffle will benefit the Roots of Music Program of New Orleans, a free year-round program for middle school students in New Orleans that no longer have music programs in their schools. All proceeds will go directly to the program with SunGard Higher Education matching the amount raised from for the sale of raffle tickets.

The last SunGard meeting held in New Orleans was in 2003, and this year’s meeting is set to generate $7 million in economic impact.
