What: Group Invitational Exhibition: “The River”
Continuing now thru April 30, 2011

Where: Garden District Gallery
1332 Washington Avenue
New Orleans, LA 70130
504-891-3032

Information:
The Garden District Gallery proudly presents "The River", a group invitational featuring the work of local and regional artists, exploring the famed Mississippi River. This exhibition celebrates the lifeblood of southern Louisiana - the Mississippi River - in all of its glory. Along its considerable length, the river presents many appearances and, despite engineers’ best efforts to smooth the transitions along its length, it remains many rivers in one. We invite you to be a part of this visual exploration.

Participating artists include Patti Adams, Katie Arimura, Mickey Asche, Errol Barron, Peter Briant, Claude Ellender, Robert Guthrie, Michelle Kondos, Elayne Kuehler, Diego Larguia, Carlos Lopez, Vicki Niolet, Carol Peebles, Glinda Schafer and Patricia Tait Jones.

The show continues through Saturday, April 30, 2011.

Located in the heart of New Orleans’ Garden District, only steps from Commander’s Palace, the Garden District Gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11am - 5pm. For more information, call 504-891-3032 or visit www.gardendistrictgallery.com.
