Try 35 Wines for $25 at May 19 “Tasting at the Track”
NEW ORLEANS (Thursday, April 14, 2011) – Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots, located at 1751 Gentilly Blvd., continues its “Tastings at the Track” wine tasting series on Thursday, May 19, from 6 to 8 p.m., with “The Grape Adventure: A Varietal Journey from Albarino to Zinfandel.” Held in partnership with Dorignac’s Food Center, this reception-style tasting will feature more than 35 premium red and white wine grape varieties including Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Shiraz, Pinot Gris, Grenache, Sangiovese, Malbec, Riesling and more, from top producers throughout the world.
Tickets are $25 per person and are available at Dorignac’s (710 Veterans Blvd in Metairie). If not sold out tickets will be available at the door.
