WHY: The anniversary on April 20 of the Deep Water Horizon disaster reminds people of how fragile the environment is and how vital it is to the economy and culture of South Louisiana. In a collaborative effort with the Hotel Monteleone and Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne, environmental activist Penny Edwards brings together a variety of organizations and individuals who are committed to the care and concern of the environment. Through these exhibits, guests will learn how they can make a difference in protecting and preserving the environment.

This collaborative Earth Day event kicks off the historic hotel’s environmental initiatives and Earth Day Network’s A Billion Acts of Green campaign.
