The Windsor Court Launches Group Wine Classes
Gain exceptional wine knowledge in a relaxed, intimate atmosphere

NEW ORLEANS, LA. – Beginning in May 2011, the Windsor Court Hotel will offer wine classes for groups of any size led by Sommelier Sara Kavanaugh. The variety of classes allows Kavanaugh’s true love of wine to come to life for all participants. Whether it is for a corporate team building event or a fun event with friends, these classes give guests the opportunity to interact with wine, and each other, in new and exciting ways.

Guests will have the opportunity to select from an array of wine classes catering to different levels of knowledge and taste.

§ Wine 101 – Attendees will taste six different wines (three whites and three reds) to learn how to taste wine correctly and explore flavor profiles.

§ Old World v. New World Wine – Guests will learn how different soil types, production methods and climates affect the final product as they taste eight wines (four whites and four reds) from around the globe.

§ Wine Aromas – Approximately 75 scents are presented throughout the room so guests can peruse the aromas and discover what they smell in the glass.

§ Food and Wine Pairing – Attendees sample six wines with different flavor profiles and discover what foods pair best.

The classes are either sixty to ninety minutes in length, and can accommodate groups of virtually any size. Kavanaugh has the ability to customize each class to a particular group’s preferences and guests can choose to upgrade the level of wine from the classes’ base price, which ranges from $49 to $88 per person. In addition, all wines that are sampled are available for retail purchase following the class.

To schedule a group wine class, contact the Windsor Court’s catering sales manager at (504) 962-4976 or visit www.grillroomneworleans.com for more information.
