Hotel Monteleone's Carousel Bar Once Again Voted ‘Best Hotel Bar'
by New Orleans Residents

New Orleans, LA (September 12, 2011) - For the fifth year in a row, New Orleans residents voted the Carousel Bar in the historic, 125-year-old Hotel Monteleone as the "Best Hotel Bar" in the city according to the "Best of New Orleans 2011" reader's poll conducted annually by Gambit Weekly, a weekly entertainment newspaper in New Orleans. This year, almost 3,300 ballots were cast by Gambit readers online and through the mail.

According to Andrea Thornton, director of sales and marketing for the Hotel Monteleone, "The residents of New Orleans have always been extremely loyal customers to us. They are one of the reasons the Carousel Bar is still spinning after 62 great years!"

In addition to Gambit's poll, the famous Carousel Bar has been named one of the top 100 bars in America by Esquire magazine. Locals and tourists all over the world love its unique, colorful carousel top, rotating bar area, friendly bartenders and excellent views of Royal Street. The bartenders are true mixologists and shake up some of the most delicious cocktail creations in the city.
