Gwendolyn Entertainment announces the inaugural “Best of the Big Easy Awards Party” to highlight New Orleans best local talent, food and fashion Presented by Smirnoff

New Orleans, LA June 23, 2011 – Gwendolyn Entertainment is proud to announce the inaugural Best of the Big Easy Party Presented by Smirnoff on June 25th at The Metropolitan Nightclub/Generations Hall located at 310 Andrew Higgins Drive.

The party kicks off at 9 pm with a special VIP event that will feature an open bar featuring beverages by Smirnoff Vodka, Jeremiah Weed, and Red Stripe beer. In addition, complimentary food from top local restaurants such as Vincent’s, Angelo Brocato’s, Phil’s Grill, Ignatius Eatery, Cowbell, Nacho Mama’s, Acme Oyster, Rock‘n Sake and others will be served.

The party opens to the general public at 10 pm. Smirnoff, Jeremiah Weed, and Red Stripe drink specials will be offered and complimentary food will continue to be served by the city’s best restaurants.

Entertainment for the night includes performances by the Stooges Brass Band, Fleur de Tease Burlesque Troupe, The Pussyfooters Dance Troupe, a fashion show by Hemline, strolling New Orleans characters from Gwendolyn Entertainment and some of New Orleans’ top DJs.

The party is in conjunction with the new Best of the Big Easy issue of Where Y'at Magazine that is now on the streets; readers voted for their favorites at whereyat.com from April 18 thru May 18. This issue publishes the results of the voting for such categories as Best Uptown Restaurant, Best Women’s Clothing Store, and the like.

Featured emcees for the evening include WDSU’s Camille Whitworth, Where Y'at Magazine columnist Mike Theis and DJs from B97 radio station.

Advance VIP tickets are $15 each and can be purchased at www.themetropolitannightclub.com General admission tickets are $15 at the door. Valet parking will be available for $20.
