SEAlebration, Wednesday, August 3, 2011 5pm – 8pm

(New Orleans, La, July 21, 2011.)– Audubon Aquarium of the Americas is throwing a party to thank thousands of its closest friends – members!

Audubon Nature Institute members are invited to peek behind the scenes of their favorite aquarium at SEAlabration, a free party for 30,000 Audubon Nature Institute members. The annual event will be held Wednesday, August 3 from 5pm to 8pm at Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, located at 1 Canal Street in New Orleans.

While SEAlebration is a free party for Audubon members, all are invited to become a member and enjoy the festivities. Membership booths will even be open the night of SEAlebration, so guests can sign up right at the entrance and join the party.

SEAlebration visitors will enjoy special opportunities not offered during regular public hours, including extraordinary views from the top of the Caribbean Reef and Gulf of Mexico exhibits and an invitation for an up close meet and greet with some of the Aquarium’s most popular residents. Attendees are also invited to talk with divers, meet the penguin keepers, and enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at where meals are prepared for all the animals in the Aquarium.

The party will also feature Louisiana music stars including Big Easy Award recipient Mia Borders, “Gumbo Rock” band Urban Gypsies, and live island music by Ray’s Island Sounds. There will also be inflatables for the children, face painting by Chris Matthews, visits by all the Audubon Nature Institute outreach vehicles, arts and crafts by the Aquarium’s Education Department and much more.

Attendants are invited to watch Disney’s animated musical comedy, Tangled free of charge at Entergy IMAX® Theatre and also enjoy gift shop items and refreshments at a 20% discount.

SEAlebration is at Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, August 3, 2011 and free for Audubon Nature Institute members. It is a celebration like no other! Visit www.AudubonInstitute.org or call (504) 861-5105 for details.
