New Orleans, La. (June 28, 2011) - New Orleans Music Events announced today the appointment of Meitche Green as Director of Sales for the entertainment production company founded in 2000.

Meitche, an original owner of the famed music club Tipitina’s, and one responsible for the success of the club till it was sold in 1999, will head up the sales department of New Orleans Music Events expanding the company’s services to include event planning and management while remaining focused on music, entertainment and technical production.

“I’m excited to reunite with Meitche,” says owner and general manager Deanna Bernard. “We worked closely together on the opening of Tip’s in the late 1980’s. Between the two of us, we have more than 50 years of experience producing large scaled concerts and events.”

Meitche is a graduate of the University of New Orleans and attended Ecole Classique.

Since leaving Tipitina’s in 1997, she owned and operated a restaurant and music club in Orange Beach, Alabama and was instrumental in the re-opening of Donna’s on Rampart.

Meitche will assist Deanna in bringing the company to the next level where creativity and attention to detail will provide our clients with the experience necessary to deliver a flawless event.
