The Windsor Court Hotel Named to Top 10 of US / Canada Big City Hotels by Travel + Leisure Magazine
Windsor Court receives highest ranking in Gulf South

NEW ORLEANS, LA. – Windsor Court earns the #6 place in Travel + Leisure’s Top 50 US/Canada Big City Hotels in the 2011 World’s Best Awards readers’ survey. Rising from #32 in 2010 to the top hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana and the Gulf South, the Windsor Court continues to exemplify the highest level of luxury and service.

Travel + Leisure conducted its 16th Annual World’s Best survey between January and March 2011, and readers evaluated hotels on the quality of rooms / facilities, location, service, restaurants / food and value. Readers also rated New Orleans as #6 on the list of US and Canada’s Best Cities, one spot higher than it earned in 2010.

“We are incredibly humbled and honored to receive such an amazing ranking by the readers of Travel + Leisure,” states David Teich, General Manager of the Windsor Court. “This is truly a testament to our efforts to create unforgettable experiences for our guests, and we look forward to providing an unparalleled level of service to our future visitors.”

The 2011 World’s Best Awards readers’ survey results, which include readers’ favorite cities, islands, hotels, spas, cruise lines, airlines, tour outfitters, and car rental agencies (listed by overall and regional rankings), are featured in the August issue of Travel + Leisure magazine, and online at: www.travelandleisure.com/worldsbest.

About Windsor Court Hotel

The Windsor Court Hotel (www.windsorcourthotel.com) was developed by New Orleans businessman James “Jimmy” Coleman Jr. in 1984 and was recently purchased by a new ownership team led by The Berger Company of New Orleans. The hotel is a 23-story landmark that includes the acclaimed Grill Room Restaurant, Polo Club Lounge and Le Salon. Windsor Court Hotel is the only hotel in New Orleans, and in all of Louisiana, to receive both the coveted Forbes Four Stars and AAA Four Diamond designations.
