LRA SELECTS RESTAURANT LEGEND AWARD RECIPIENT
METAIRIE, La.—The Louisiana Restaurant Association (LRA) is pleased to name Dot Hall of Bon Ton Café in New Orleans as a recipient of the Restaurant Legends Award.
The Restaurant Legends Award recognizes the long-term dedication of employees who make up the backbone of the restaurant industry, with 20 or more years of service at one foodservice establishment.
Hall has been employed by Bon Ton Café since 1971; currently she is the restaurant’s head chef.
“Dot is such an important part of our operation at the Bon Ton,” said Bon Ton Café co-owner Debbie Pierce. “She has opened our restaurant every morning for the last decade with very little exception. When our customers tell us that our food is consistently good we tell them in large part because the same woman has been overseeing our kitchen for the last 40 years!”
Hall was recognized June 24, 2011 at a private event at the restaurant.
“The LRA is proud to honor Dot for her dedication to Bon Ton Café. She is living proof that jobs in the restaurant industry can span decades and provide a notable career,” said LRA President & CEO Stan Harris.
