More Than 40 Restaurants Participate in the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau’s
                                         Seventh Annual COOLinary Restaurant Program

Special August culinary promotion celebrates incredible cuisine and dining in “America’s Most Delicious City”

NEW ORLEANSJuly 12, 2011—The New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) has announced the line-up of more than 40 world-class restaurants for its seventh annual COOLinary restaurant promotion, offering special two and three-course lunch menus for $20 or less and three-course dinner menus for $35 or less, August 1-31, 2011.

The event commemorates the renowned and authentic cuisine of New Orleans and its culinary community, which according to Tom Fitzmorris and www.nomenu.com, currently boasts 1,205 restaurants. COOLinary also coincides with the New Orleans CVB’s Be a Tourist in Your Own Hometown campaign, which encourages locals to enjoy a “staycation” by taking advantage of summer hotel rates, an unparalleled nightlife scene, discounts to attractions and restaurant savings offered in August for COOLinary New Orleans.

“Food is at the core of New Orleans’ culture, and in the past seven years, thousands of New Orleanians have commemorated our world-famous cuisine by dining at participating COOLinary restaurants,” said Kim Priez, Vice President of Tourism for the New Orleans CVB. “Not only does the program aim to drive customers to restaurants during this typically slower tourism time, but it also gives locals the chance to experience cuisine at top city restaurants— all while celebrating the incredible work of our local chefs and all of their staff.”

Restaurants participating in COOLinary 2011 include: 5 Fifty 5, 7 on Fulton, Andrea’s, Antoine’s Restaurant, Bayona, The Bombay Club, Bon Ton Café, Bourbon House, Brennan’s Restaurant, Brigtsen’s, Broussard’s, Café Adelaide, Café Degas, Café Giovanni, Commander’s Palace, Charlie’s Steak House, The Court of Two Sisters, The Crazy Lobster, Desire Seafood & Oyster Bar, Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse, Emeril’s New Orleans, Feast, Galatoire's, The Grill Room, GW FINS, Latil’s Landing of Houmas House Plantation & Gardens, Lüke, M Bistro, Mike’s on the Avenue, Mesón 923, Mulates Cajun Restaurant, Muriel’s Jackson Square, One Restaurant & Lounge, Palace Café, Pascal's Manale, The Pelican Club, Roux on Orleans, Royal Palm, Restaurant August, Sazerac Restaurant, Ste.
