   Event Rental Hires Megan Lucy Mouton

Megan Lucy Mouton, 28, a New Orleans native, has been in the special event industry for the past three years and has moved up the rank in the corporate world extremely quickly. She has recently moved from Sales and Marketing Director of Event Restroom, LLC to Executive Vice President of its partner company, Event Rental, LLC. Event Rental is the top rental company in the south with locations in Gretna, Lafayette, and soon to be in Baton Rouge. 

She is based out of the main office in Gretna, Louisiana.  She is currently spearheading the company's new expansion into Baton Rouge, along with plans for future locations around the Gulf Coast. With approximately 100 employees reporting to her from three locations, she works intense hours and has a true passion for her clients and the special events industry.

Megan has implemented a great deal of positive changes to Event Rental. Her main goals stepping into the VP role were to improve the quality of our inventory, make sure orders were loaded and delivered accurately, and that trucks were routed effectively to ensure on time delivery and pick up. So far, the new management team she has put in place has been able to improve on all three of these fronts and continues to get better daily.

Megan recently secured a contract to be the exclusive rental provider for the newly renovated Hyatt Regency New Orleans. Event Rental services some of the largest festivals in the state including, but not limited to, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Voodoo Festival, French Quarter Festival, Mardi Gras, Gretna Fest, etc. They service weddings, private events, corporate functions, emergency relief and disaster recovery, film and television, major sporting events, convention booths, festivals, hotels, and much more. Event Rental truly is a one stop rental source for any event. 

Megan graduated from LSU with a degree in Mass Communications with a focus in Public Relations. While at LSU she was a member of the nationally ranked LSU Tiger Girls Dance Team and minored in Dance as well.

She credits her success in part to the various networking and educational organizations she is involved with. She is a third year member of ISES (International Special Events Society) where she has served on the board as the Director of Membership for the past two years. She is also a current member of MPI (Meeting Professionals International) and has served on both the education and special events committees. Other current and past memberships include National Association of Catering Executives, Convention and Visitor's Bureau, Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, and the American Rental Association.

She is currently studying for the CSEP (Certified Special Event Professional) and plans on taking the certification test in April.
