Hilton New Orleans Riverside Highlights the Perfect Meetings and Conventions Experience
Noted New Orleans Hotel Offers Location, Amenities and Top Service

NEW ORLEANS, LA (OCTOBER  10,  2011) -- For more than 30 years, Hilton New Orleans Riverside has hosted corporations, associations and trade groups from around the world for meetings and conventions. Time after time, the hotel along with its team members have received high satisfaction surveys from attendees and meeting planners alike. It's a precise combination of carefully designed procedures and guidelines that assist Hilton New Orleans Riverside in achieving these exceptional results along with the attention to details and of course, southern hospitality, that keep those high marks in tact year after year.

Location is everything and the Hilton New Orleans Riverside is at the epicenter of all great New Orleans attractions right at the foot of the Mississippi River.  Guests will enjoy the area's "must see" including  the French Quarter,  Harrah's New Orleans Casino, the New Orleans Convention Center and the Riverwalk Marketplace .

Location is an attractive feature on its own, but when combined with 122,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, 1,622 guest rooms and suites and a 90,000 sq. ft. health club, Hilton New Orleans Riverside becomes an easy choice for many meeting planners.  If that is not enough, the world- famous Dragos, home of the char broiled oysters and one of the most delicious attractions in the city , is located just off the hotel's main lobby.

An ever important aspect of Hilton New Orleans Riverside is its employees. Twenty-two percent (22%) of the 700 employees have been with the hotel for 20 or more years, another 10 percent (10%) have been part of the Hilton team for more than ten years. The property has been named one of New Orleans City Business' Best Places to Work for six years in a row - the only hotel in town with this distinction.

"One of the reasons our employees love working at Hilton New Orleans Riverside is that together we identify community programs that are important, and we participate jointly in efforts that improve our city and the world," comments Eric Janecke, area director of sales and marketing for Hilton New Orleans Riverside. "We are hands-on in the community hosting at least four blood drives annually, participating in Habitat for Humanity building days, assisting with Second Harvest Food Drives, participating in Community Clean-up Days, Earth Hour, a hotel-wide recycling program, and more," adds Janecke. Last year, hotel employees organized a relief effort for Haiti residents, collecting two truckloads of clothing, shoes, blankets and other necessities.

To continue to offer guests and meeting professionals exceptional service, Hilton New Orleans Riverside embarked on a capital improvements project valued at $63 million. The six-year project includes guest room renovations and upgrades, replacement of furniture in public spaces, and a redesign of the Grand Ballroom as well as all other meeting rooms. Additional improvements include HVAC upgrades, computer and Internet upgrades, main kitchen refurbishing, elevator and escalator upgrades, and more.

"Hilton New Orleans Riverside is constantly identifying ways to keep our property number one in the group hotel business in our city," said Fred Sawyers, general manager for Hilton New Orleans Riverside. "Our dedicated team of hotel employees continues to offer the genuine southern hospitality New Orleans is known for, and Hilton New Orleans Riverside is famous for.  Constant investment will enhance our market position and provide job security for our team members while improving our product," he adds.
