Windsor Court Hotel to Host Second Harvest Tea
Embrace the true spirit of Thanksgiving with seasonal tea treats and delicacies

NEW ORLEANS, LA. - Tis' the season of giving at the Windsor Court Hotel! On November 19th and 20th, the Windsor Court's Grill Room  will offer a Thanksgiving-themed tea with daily seatings at 2 pm to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans. The Grill Room will serve Fall-inspired treats such as apple cider herbal tea, pecan tarts, pumpkin cheesecake and a variety of specialty tea sandwiches and delicacies from our pastry chef.

This "Prim & Proffer" tea will mark the first annual Thanksgiving collaboration between the Windsor Court and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans. Guests are asked to donate nonperishable food items or contribute monetarily to this worthy cause. The Windsor Court will match the donation made by our tea-sippers, just in time for Turkey Day!

"We are proud to partner with the Second Harvest Food Bank, and help give back to so many of the local families in need during the holiday season. With this tea, we hope to enhance a holiday tradition for our guests while embracing the true spirit of Thanksgiving," says David Teich, General Manager of the Windsor Court.

Guests can choose from a Classic Tea service for $30 or a Royal Tea service for $38, which includes smoked salmon and caviar canapés and a glass of sherry, house sparkling wine, chardonnay or a Thanksgiving-inspired cocktail. The children's tea, for children 5 years of age and younger, is $19. Reservations for tea and discounted tickets to the Audubon Insectarium can be secured by calling at 504.596.4773.

About Windsor Court Hotel

The Windsor Court Hotel (www.windsorcourthotel.com) was developed by New Orleans businessman James "Jimmy" Coleman Jr. in 1984 and was recently purchased by a new ownership team led by The Berger Company of New Orleans. The hotel is a 23-story landmark that includes the acclaimed Grill Room Restaurant, Polo Club Lounge and Le Salon. Windsor Court Hotel is the only hotel in New Orleans, and in all of Louisiana, to receive both the coveted Forbes (formerly Mobil) Four Stars and AAA Four Diamond designations. In 2010, Travel + Leisure ranked the Windsor Court #32 in its annual listing of the "Top 50 Large City Hotels in US/Canada." It was the only hotel in New Orleans to make the list. The hotel also earned a spot on Celebrated Living's 2010 Top 20 US Mainland Hotels and Condé Nast Traveler's coveted "Gold List" for 2010. Throughout its history, the Windsor Court has been the choice for discriminating travelers visiting New Orleans, from world leaders and royalty to professional athletes, business leaders and other celebrities.
