New Orleans Marriott Names Robert Bray as New General Manager

New Orleans, LA - January 13, 2012 - Robert Bray has been named general manager of New Orleans Marriott. With over 20 years of experience with Marriott International, Bray brings his knowledge and expertise in hotel operations, food and beverage and sales to the recently renovated French Quarter hotel. In addition to overseeing daily operations at New Orleans Marriott, Bray will serve as the area general manager for the five Marriott properties located within the Big Easy.

Bray's transition to this new role will be smooth given his past New Orleans experience. He previously served as the general manager of the Renaissance Pere Marquette Hotel and the Renaissance Arts, both in New Orleans, from 1999 - 2004. Most recently, Bray was the general manager at the Renaissance St. Louis Grand & Suites complex for seven years.

"I'm excited to return to the Big Easy, the people, food and music that I love, " said Bray. "New Orleans Marriott has gone through some exciting changes over the years and I look forward to being part of its continued success."

Bray is gearing up for a big tourism year in New Orleans. The Crescent City will host a number of major sporting events such as the BCS National Championship game which was held this January, the Southeastern Conference men's basketball tournament in March, the NCAA Final Four in March and April and the Super Bowl in 2013.
