Sazerac Chefs Create Romance with a Special Dinner this Valentine's Day

NEW ORLEANS - (January 31, 2012) - Love is in the air, and what better way to show that special someone you care than by sharing a romantic dinner in the historic Sazerac Restaurant at The Roosevelt New Orleans, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel.

For decades, The Roosevelt has served as the backdrop for historic events and special occasions. Socialites and celebrities like Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Tina Turner, Jimmy Durante, Carol Channing and many more have flooded the elegant property and appreciated its splendor.

Dressed in deep blues and rich gold, and adorned with sparkling chandeliers, the hotel welcomes guests to relive their memories and create new ones with a delectable dinner for two in an opulent setting, the Sazerac Restaurant.

Available Feb. 14 only, the four-course menu will boast items with "aphrodisiac properties" - fitting for the most romantic of evenings - including tantalizing appetizers and entrees, such as Zinfandel Braised Veal Cheeks, Sea Scallops Persillade and Garlic-Porcini Crusted Filet. The alluring desserts that will make guests' hearts melt, including Devil's Food Double Chocolate Cake, and Champagne and Strawberries.

The special menu is available for $89 per guest and includes a complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival.
