FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON TO EXPAND IN NEW ORLEANS
Four Points by Sheraton French Quarter opens in late 2012
in the Heart of New Orleans' Historic District

Stamford, CT - January 31, 2012 - Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) today announced plans to add Four Points by Sheraton French Quarter to its brand in New Orleans, LA. The hotel is located in the heart of the world-renowned French Quarter, and is scheduled to open in July 2012.

Owned by L-I, a Louisiana Partnership in Commendam, the former Ramada hotel will undergo a multi-million dollar renovation prior to opening as a Four Points. The hotel will offer186 guest rooms, state-of-the-art meeting facilities and amenities that reflect New Orleans' unique character and hospitality.

"We are delighted to open our second Four Points in the New Orleans area. Even more exciting is its prime French Quarter location," said Brian McGuinness, Senior Vice President, Specialty Select Brands for Starwood. "At Four Points by Sheraton French Quarter, guests will travel the way they like, with genuine service, classic style and great rates - all in an unbeatable location."

Located at 541 Bourbon Street, Four Points by Sheraton French Quarter is walking distance to the city's famous jazz clubs, historic French Market, and countless shops, restaurants and bars. Guests can opt to book balcony rooms overlooking Bourbon Street - the perfect vantage point to take in the sights and sounds of New Orleans' fabulous Mardi Gras festivities. Or they can choose balcony rooms overlooking the quiet, elegant hotel courtyard.

The hotel is convenient to Jackson Square, Canal Street, St. Louis Cathedral and the Cabildo, and just minutes from the New Orleans Arena and Mercedes-Benz Superdome - respective homes of the NBA's New Orleans Hornets and the NFL's New Orleans Saints.

The hotel boasts 4,375 square feet of meeting space, perfect for events of all types and sizes. Four Points by Sheraton French Quarter also includes Café Opéra, a full-service restaurant that is under the direction of French native and culinary master, Chef Philippe Andreani. The café offers some of the area's best continental and creole cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Other offerings at the hotel include an outdoor pool, 24-hour fitness center and business center.

"The recent improvements to the Four Points brand have resulted in a surge in both new-build and conversion deals in fast-growing markets across North America," said Allison Reid, Senior Vice President of North America Development for Starwood. "Four Points is a hit with travelers who appreciate the brand's comfort, style and affordability, plus it is backed by the power of Starwood through the award-winning Starwood Preferred Guest program."

"We expect that Four Points by Sheraton French Quarter will maintain its long-held reputation as one of New Orleans' most popular hotels," said the hotel's general manager Beth Ables. "By joining Four Points, we can connect with even more travelers through the popular SPG program."

Four Points opened its 150th hotel in 2010, solidifying its place as one of Starwood's largest brands. Always an honest value, Four Points has great amenities like free bottled water, free Wi-Fi in public spaces, and free internet access in all guestrooms. A delicious breakfast with great coffee and refreshing, local beer with Best BrewsSM help guests to start and end the day right. Four Points gives travelers everything they need to be comfortable and productive on the road.

About L-I, a Louisiana Partnership in Commendam
To understand the L-I Partnership in Commendam, it is important to first understand the history of the actual site of the Four Points By Sheraton French Quarter. The hotel is located on the site of the original French Opera House, which opened in 1859. For many years, the Opera House reigned as New Orleans' cultural epicenter, where the finest balls and grandest operas took place. A fire destroyed the building in 1919. After that, the location took on various incarnations, including a parking garage and gift shop. In 1989, Mr. and Mrs. Robert T. Tonti of New Orleans bought the hotel. Since then, the family has continued to invest time and money into their hotel, undertaking various major renovations and upgrades, and finding ways to reinvent and update the hotel, most recently known as The Inn On Bourbon. The hotel is proud of its involvement in the community and local culture; it has a particularly unique partnership with the New Orleans Opera and Bon Operatit! Vocalists from both groups perform every month in the hotel's Puccini Bar, a nod to the landmark's colorful musical history. As principal shareholders of L-I, a Louisiana Partnership in Commendam, the Tontis, with their hotel management, are beginning a new and exciting phase and partnership with Starwood Hotel & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.
