The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans named #1 by U.S. News & World Report

NEW ORLEANS, La. - February 3, 2012 -Today U.S. News and World Report announced that The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans is #1 (out of 147 properties) in their annual Best Hotels in New Orleans ranking.

Excerpt: http://travel.usnews.com/Hotels/review-The_Ritz_Carlton_New_Orleans-New_Orleans-Louisiana-10335/

How it Ranks: The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans ranks #1 out of 147 New Orleans Hotels based on an evaluation of expert ratings and awards, as well as user reviews. The hotel scored high enough to make the U.S. News list of the Best Hotels in New Orleans.

Our Take: Even in a city like New Orleans where hotels wear "quirky" like a badge of honor, the "typical-ness" of the Ritz sits well with travelers. Recent guests have plenty of positive remarks for the hospitable staff and unmistakably luxurious features. But it is travel sites like Concierge.com and Frommer's that praise the little details, like leaving an umbrella in the room closets or the crawfish boils that take place in the hotel's courtyard. Yes, this Canal Street hotel is expensive, but many say it's more than worth shelling out the cash.

Miller said, "I'm proud to accept this award on behalf of the ladies and gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans who are committed to providing the absolute best experience for guests. In a city of great hotels, we are honored to be chosen as #1."
