Panelists review "Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill: Two Years LAter"
April 19 at the Presbytere

Louisiana State Museum is presenting a panel discussion of "The Deepwater Oil Spill: Two Years Later" Thursday April 19 at 6 p.m. at the Presbytère.  Dr. Douglas Meffert, Executive Director, Louisiana Audubon Society, moderates.

Panelists are Dr. Michael J. Blum, Arnold Early Career Professor in Earth and Ecological Science, Tulane University, and Cynthia Sarthou, Executive Director, Gulf Restoration Network.

The program is free and open to the public as part of the Museum's "Coastal Conversations" series on environmental and climate issues explored in the exhibition Living with Hurricanes: Katrina and Beyond.
The explosion and fire on the drilling rig "Deepwater Horizon" occurred on April 20, 2010 producing a massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
