New Orleans School of Cooking: Finalist in the American Express Big Break for Small Business Competition

New Orleans, LA August 20, 2012--- The New Orleans School of Cooking is a top ten finalist in the American Express OPEN Big Break for Small Business® Competition. 

Over 12,000 small businesses across the nation entered this Facebook® competition, and the New Orleans School of Cooking is one of the 10 finalists! Our communities' votes can help them win $25,000 to help grow their business, plus a one-on-one strategy session with American Express  OPEN and Facebook.

Please support this locally owned business that helps promote Louisiana's tourism industry and local farmers market products that are sold in their Louisiana General Store.  Help support the only Louisiana finalist by voting at http://ow.ly/cSMdR. About the Company:
Since 1980, the New Orleans School of Cooking has introduced countless visitors from around the world to the wonderful food and rich culture of Louisiana and New Orleans. Demonstration classes are held seven days a week, and hands-on classes are held bi-weekly. Private group classes for parties, corporate events, rehearsal dinners, school trips and other special occasions are also available.

The Louisiana General Store is open for business 9am-6pm Monday-Saturday and 9am-4pm on Sundays. It carries a full line of local Cajun and Creole products, cookbooks, spices, gift baskets, cookware, and their own famous Joe's Stuff^TM seasoning.
