New Orleans, Louisiana (September 11, 2012) - Diane B. Lyons was selected as one of New Orleans CityBusiness Women of the Year for 2012.  This selection recognizes those whose successes in business and contributions to the community have set the pace for our region's future.  In her 30-year career as a special event professional, Lyons has earned her Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) and Destination Management Certified Professional (DMCP) designations, and has led one of the most respected destination management companies in the New Orleans area.   In 2011, Diane founded FestiGals, a women's getaway weekend which focuses on an enriching weekend for women to relax, enjoy high quality special events and explore the cultural diversity and rich heritage of New Orleans while contributing to causes that benefit and empower women.
