Eat, Drink, and Give Back: New Orleans Restaurateurs Band Together on September 30 to Host Hurricane Isaac Relief Event And Saints Costume Contest
Local fundraising event will include food, drink, plus a chance to win a pair of
New Orleans Saints tickets and accommodation at the Loews Hotel
(New Orleans, September 24, 2012) - On September 30, 2012, local New Orleans restaurants and businesses will come together on the Piazza d'Italia to host a Hurricane Isaac Relief tailgate from 12:00pm - 3:00pm before the New Orleans Saints vs. Green Bay Packers away game.
Participating vendors include: Commander's Palace, Café Adelaide & the Swizzle Stick Bar, SoBou, NOLA Restaurant, Bourbon House, Palace Café, Reginelli's, the Loews Hotel, and Fox-8.
The event will include food and drink, with a signature cocktail - the Adelaide Swizzle -- and a Saints costume contest. The contest winner will receive two tickets to see the New Orleans Saints play later this season, plus a one-night stay at the Loews Hotel.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Saint Bernard Project to benefit recovery efforts from Hurricane Isaac.
"In times of tragedy, the most important thing is that we stick together," says Ti Martin,
co-proprietor of Commander's Palace. "There's a strong sense of community here in
New Orleans, and we're happy to come together to help out. After Katrina, our friends
came from all over the country to help us recover, and we'll never forget it. Now, post-
Isaac we want to help take care of our own."

Price: A Minimum donation of $5 to enter (Children under 12 are free)
Food and drink vouchers $2.50 each
All proceeds will go to the Saint Bernard Project, serving Southeast Louisiana
