         PERLIS Cajun Clothing Debuts at Armstrong International Airport

NEW ORLEANS- September 25, 2012 - A New Orleans landmark store, Perlis Cajun Clothing, opened its first airport venture at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. The iconic clothing store is located on Concourse D and is one of the many new concessions coming to the Airport. Perlis will market Men's, Women's and Children's clothing and accessories featuring their distinctive crawfish logo. They will also feature a selection of Mignon Faget jewelry. The original Perlis store, located in New Orleans on the corner of Webster and Magazine Streets, was established over 70 years ago. In addition to their flagship store, Perlis also operates a shop in the historic Jackson Brewery in New Orleans and a full service store in Mandeville, LA.

The new Airport location will be 490 sq. ft. and will provide jobs for 3 employees and operate from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. The store will operate under the Airport Master Concessionaire - New Orleans Air Ventures II (NOAV II). The New Orleans Aviation Board (NOAB) has entered into an agreement with NOAV II to provide a series of new and renovated properties for a total expenditure of over $4.3 million.

In addition to Perlis, Hudson News & Gifts opened their new 2,150 sq. ft news & gift shop located on Concourse D. It will provide jobs for 9 employees. Hudson markets souvenirs, gifts and apparel, snacks, beverages, electronics, travel accessories, and a wide selection of newspapers, magazines and books. Hudson News & Gifts is a major retailer in many Airports throughout the U.S.

"The opening of the Perlis Cajun Clothing store signals the intent of the Aviation Board to provide to our passengers the unique local brands that they have requested through our recent on-line survey and community feedback," said Nolan V. Rollins, Chairman, New Orleans Aviation Board.

"We welcome Perlis and the new adjacent Hudson property to our concessions team," said Iftikhar Ahmad, Director of Aviation. "Their presence will be one more example of how the NOAB is working to improve our Airport environment by giving our passengers a selection of quality vendors with great customer service."

"These new store additions will give our passengers an opportunity to enjoy quality Louisiana products. It's another step in the right direction for our Airport as we work to complete $356 million in renovations in time for the 2013 Super Bowl," said New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu.
