The New Orleans Hotel Collection announces prize winners
of the Wounded Warrior Project "Big Kahuna" motorcycle race charity
raffle.
NEW ORLEANS - October 16, 2012 - In a brief ceremony
at the entrance to Mardi Gras World, Celeste Norris, Director of Human Resources
for the New Orleans Hotel Collection awarded Mrs. Marlene Mobley, a
prize certificate for a two night stay at one of the luxury boutique hotels of
the New Orleans Hotel Collection. The prize was won by Marlene at a
raffle to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. It was purchased at the
kickoff party of the Big Kahuna New Orleans American Motorcycle Association‘s
inaugural race on Thursday October 4th. The benefit party was held
on the wharf at Mardi Gras World, another sponsor of the charity
event.
Organized by M1 Power Sports as a part of the first national
race event to be held at the new NOLA Motorsports Park, the party on the wharf
to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project attracted over 400 motorcycle
enthusiast guests who enjoyed the river breeze, festival foods, and good
music.
The New Orleans Hotel Collection provided volunteers and
prizes for the event, and is the Official Hotel Sponsor for the
Big Kahuna New Orleans AMA Motorcycle Race at NOLA Motorsports
Park.
Mr and Mrs Mobley are avid riders with the K Club, an
enthusiasts group with over 200 members. They ride frequently in Mardi Gras
Parades and other events throughout the year.
Marlene and her husband are residents of Westwego and drive a
pair of Honda 1800 Gold Wing , the biggest bikes that Honda makes. The
Mobley's have more than 41,000 miles on their bikes, making annual cross country
treks
