THNOC members will receive 20 percent off purchases, including items from Mignon Faget trunk show

WHY: The Historic New Orleans Collection celebrates its members with an all-day sale at The Shop at The Collection Saturday, Dec. 8. From 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., members will receive 20 percent off all in-store purchases. THNOC members regularly receive a 10-percent discount on these purchases.

The Shop at The Collection carries a unique array of merchandise, including several exclusive items inspired by THNOC's holdings. Browse original publications by THNOC-including the newest title "Perique: Photographs by Charles Martin" and the internationally praised "Ernie K-Doe: The R&B Emperor of New Orleans"-local and national jewelry lines, limited-edition reproductions, books relating to Louisiana history and culture, stationery and gifts by local and regional artists.

As an added bonus, THNOC members will be able to apply the special 20-percent discount to merchandise featured in the Mignon Faget trunk show, taking place on the same day at the museum shop from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. THNOC members will also enjoy complimentary admission to the holiday tour of the Williams Residence, one of the permanent guided tours available at THNOC. Anyone wishing to register as a THNOC member may do so in advance or on site. Yearly memberships begin at $35 for individuals and $65 for households.

Regular store hours are 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday, and 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
