All-New ‘Magical, Musical Christmas' Show to Debut at the Stage Door Canteen

NEW ORLEANS (November 21, 2012) - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas as The National WWII Museum gears up for the debut on November 28 of an all-new holiday show Magical, Musical Christmas, featuring the Museum's very own Victory Belles vocal trio.

Running from November 28 through December 30 in the Museum's Stage Door Canteen, the musical revue traces the Belles - Courtney Boe, Rebecca Nugent and Mandi Ridgdell - on their journey to the North Pole in search of Santa, all set to favorite songs of the season. In conjunction with the all-new show, Chef John Besh is creating savory new holiday menus and sweet desserts for matinees and evening performances in the Canteen.

The show will run during Weekday Buffet Matinees beginning at 12 p.m. with the show starting at 1 p.m. and costing $40 per person, as well as Friday and Saturday evenings where guests can choose a seated dinner and complimentary wine option for $60 or just the show for $30. Dinner seating is from 6 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. with the show beginning at 8 p.m. The Museum will also offer Sunday Champagne Buffet Matinees with seating from 11:00 - 11:30 a.m. and the show at 1 p.m. Tickets to Sunday Matinees are $55.

Created by Victoria Reed, the Museum's entertainment director, Magical, Musical Christmas will feature more than 20 holiday favorites, including "It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas," "I'll Be Home for Christmas," "Carol of the Bells," "Boogie Woogie Santa Claus" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," among others.

"This heartwarming musical is a wonderful holiday spectacle with dazzling costumes and choreography," said Reed. "Come celebrate the season with the Victory Belles and join in their journey to the North Pole!"

The National WWII Museum tells the story of the American experience in the war that changed the world - why it was fought, how it was won, and what it means today.  Dedicated in 2000 as The National D-Day Museum and now designated by Congress as America's National WWII Museum, it celebrates the American Spirit, the teamwork, optimism, courage and sacrifice of the men and women who served on the battlefront and the Home Front.
