The Magic of the Holiday Season is Coming to Hotel Monteleone

Children's holiday parties, caroling students & special room discounts mean the holidays are finally here!

New Orleans, LA (November 13, 2012) - The holiday season is a wonderful time of the year at Hotel Monteleone. From a festive Children's Holiday Party featuring our loving mascot Monte the Lion and local school choirs singing familiar holiday carols to a delightful Reveillon menu and prix fixed Broadway menu, Hotel Monteleone invites its guests and local New Orleanians to join in the merriment of the season.

As an exclusive Yuletide treat, Hotel Monteleone is offering special Papa Noel room discounts from November 18th through December 27^th with savings varying from 20% off the selling rates on weekdays and 15% off selling rates on weekends; all rates are based on availability and blackout dates do apply.

Deck the Halls of the Hotel Monteleone

Beginning the week after Thanksgiving, Hotel Monteleone will light up the 200 block of Royal Street as it officially turns on the holiday decorations to mark the start of its holiday season. With the newly expanded famous Carousel Bar & Lounge, the large windows along Royal Street will be outlined with beautiful white lights. The Hotel will also transform its interior into a winter wonderland as it brightens up the lobby with its majestic Christmas tree and special holiday décor.

Monte the Lion's Children's Holiday Party

Monte the Lion, the official mascot of Hotel Monteleone, is hosting his annual Children's Holiday Party on Saturday, December 15th with two seatings at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Some of the season's favorite Christmas characters will join Monte including Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman and Santa's elves. Mrs. Claus will read classic Christmas tales and a trumpeter will lead special guests in a musical parade. Savory treats, games and caroling will fill the air with joy. Monte the Lion will close the day by presenting each of his new friends with a Monte stuffed animal. The cost is $55.00 per adult and $40.00 per child. Reveillon Dinner

From December 1st through 25th, visitors can join the locals as they flock to fine dining establishments throughout the city to celebrate the Reveillon dinner tradition. Criollo Restaurant is one of several restaurants with festive menu offerings. Restaurants create special menus all month long to combine traditional Creole cuisine and contemporary New Orleans dishes featuring meat, game, vegetables and fruit popular during the Victorian era. Criollo Restaurant's Reveillon menu is a la carte and available December 1-25 beginning at 5:30 p.m. nightly. Criollo will offer this delectable menu featuring dishes such as Covey Rise Muscovy Duck Breast, Papillote of Flounder and Coriander Crusted Lamb T -Bone. Hotel Monteleone Welcomes Local School Choirs to Celebrate the Holiday Season

On select week days, New Orleans area school choirs will once again greet guests and locals in the Hotel Monteleone lobby with the sounds of the season from November 28th through December 19th. School performances are free and open to the public. Performances occur between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and last one half hour. Broadway Comes to Criollo Restaurant!

Hotel Monteleone is once again the official hotel sponsor for the 2012-2013 Broadway Across America season and welcomes Disney's Mary Poppins: The Hit Broadway Musical as it debuts in New Orleans December 18 - 23.
