10:00 am - 11:30 am
The National WWII Museum, 945 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA
Families with children ages 8 - 12 are invited to join The National WWII Museum for a special Toys and Games Family Workshop. During WWII, toy production almost completely ceased, meaning kids had to be creative and use their imaginations to come up with fun ideas and activities from things they found in their everyday lives. Workshop participants will recreate some of the toys and games popular during the war years, and discover what Christmas might have been like for a child during WWII. This workshop is free with Museum admission, but pre-registration is required. Workshops are designed for children ages 8 - 12, and one adult per three kids is required. Space is very limited so make your reservation online now or call 504-528-1944 x 229 for more information.
