SOBOU NAMED AMONG THE "50 COOLEST NEW BUSINESSES IN AMERICA"
BusinessInsider.com ranks New Orleans' "spirited restaurant" as one of the hottest new businesses nationwide
(New Orleans, LA; January 3, 2013) - SoBou, New Orleans' "spirited restaurant," is among the "50 Coolest New Businesses in America," according to a list created by BusinessInsider.com.
The online business publication conducted a nationwide search for the hottest restaurants, boutiques, startups, and everything in between, and found SoBou to be one of "the coolest new businesses in America that opened or expanded within the last year and a half."
The report also noted, "NOLA's fine cuisine makes itself known at SoBou, which stands for South of Bourbon Street. The restaurant offers a menu of classic Cajun-style New Orleans dishes with a Latin twist, such as Shrimp and Tasso Pinchos."
"One of our goals at SoBou is to be a part of New Orleans' renaissance," shares co-proprietor Ti Adelaide Martin. "We're thrilled to be one of many new businesses here in New Orleans that are respectful of our past but never reined in by it."
SoBou is the latest venture from the Brennan family that opened in July 2012 in the W New Orleans - French Quarter. The restaurant offers a menu of Louisiana street food-inspired small plates from Executive Chef Juan Carlos Gonzalez and Consulting Chef Tory McPhail of Commander's Palace, and a cutting-edge cocktail program lead by celebrated Bar Chef Lu Brow along with in-house Bar Chef Abigail Gullo.
