Saint Hotel

NEW ORLEANS, LA (January 25, 2013) - The Saint Hotel, the one-of-a-kind luxury boutique property, located in the famous New Orleans French Quarter, has announced Darryl Hill as the new General Manager.

"We are thrilled to have Darryl Hill join our team as the General Manager. With proven success in the hospitality industry, Darryl will play a critical role in The Saint Hotel's exciting future. Darryl encompasses the superior knowledge that will continue to make The Saint Hotel the number one luxury destination choice in New Orleans," said Mark Wyant, owner and developer of The Saint Hotel.

With an impressive resume, Hill brings a wealth of expertise in the hospitality business to The Saint Hotel. Boasting more than 30 years of experience, Hill has worked at hotel properties from California to Colorado to Pennsylvania, all the way to the United Kingdom and the Micronesia Islands.

While Hill delights in the personalized nature of boutique hotels, he has many years of experience with big-brand hoteliers under his belt as well. Prior to joining The Saint Hotel, Hill grew accustomed to New Orleans, working for the Omni Royal Crescent and the Omni Royal Orleans for five years. Hill most recently served as General Manager at La Quinta Inn & Suites, located in the French Quarter, for three years.

As General Manager, Hill ensured the standards for guest service were met while making sure the lodging establishments were run efficiently and profitably. He won "General Manager of the Year" in 2010, leading the team in managing revenue generation, customer satisfaction and budget. During Hill's time of achievement, the hotel was awarded the 2010 "La Quinta Inn of the Year" for brand excellence in service, cleanliness and sales.

"The Saint Hotel is a wonderful New Orleans tradition that is respected throughout the nation, and I am tasked with enhancing that tradition," said General Manager, Darryl Hill. "My vision is to ensure every guest that walks through our doors is met with uncompromising service, providing the most luxurious and unforgettable New Orleans experience. I am delighted at the opportunity to contribute to the continuing success of The Saint Hotel. "

Hill possesses an incredible leadership style with a hands-on coaching method. He emphasizes consistency, patience and teamwork, which is a true match for The Saint Hotel's tradition of sustaining a team with impeccable attention to detail and flawless execution.

Built in 1909 and located on Canal Street at Burgundy Street in the world famous New Orleans French Quarter, the historic landmark Audubon Building has been totally renovated and re-christened as The Saint Hotel. Striking a balance between its storied past and limitless future, The Saint Hotel will provide the ultimate luxury lifestyle destination, following its recent $45 million dollar purchase and transformation. The property will reflect a new and contemporary spirit and look while staying true to important designs and traditions, such as the opulent grandeur of the Beaux Arts décor and era. The 166-room, 8-story Saint Hotel includes 320 sq. ft. modern guest rooms; 1450 sq. ft. of meeting and special event space; Tempt, a chef-driven modern American restaurant; the Burgundy Bar offering live jazz saluting the sounds of Louis Armstrong; and Halo, a rooftop bar and lounge with panoramic views of downtown New Orleans.

This one-of-a-kind property will provide memorable experiences and surprises with a spontaneous, haute bohemian eclectic, eccentric and edgy sophistication for even the most sophisticated traveler. Ideal for leisure or business, The Saint Hotel is located on the Canal Street streetcar line and a short walk from the French Quarter's charming galleries, boutiques, antique shops, and music-filled nightclubs while also convenient to the Riverwalk, Saks Fifth Avenue, the Aquarium of the Americas and Harrah's Casino. It is minutes from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and the New Orleans Arena. ( (
