Hotel Monteleone Earns Place on U.S. News & World Report’s List of the Best Hotels in the USA  

New Orleans (January 29, 2013)  – Hotel Monteleone has received recognition as one of the 2013 Best Hotels in the USA by U.S. News & World Report. The 2013 Best Hotels rankings are available online at http://travel.usnews.com/. 

The 2013 Best Hotels are calculated based on the aggregate opinion of travel experts and guests expressed through awards, recommendations, and ratings.

“It is with great honor that we receive this recognition,” said Ronald Pincus, vice-president and chief operating officer of Hotel Monteleone. “Our mission has always been to provide an exceptional guest experience, and it is gratifying to know that our consistently high standard of service has received notice.”

To create this year's rankings, U.S. News factored in the prominence of industry awards a hotel receives along with its reputation among travel experts and guests. In total, 1,639 U.S. luxury hotels and 273 Caribbean hotels were analyzed for the 2013 rankings. Only a fraction of these scored high enough to be named Best Hotels by U.S. News.

In addition to being recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hotels in the USA, Hotel Monteleone was named Best Large Hotel in the 2012 “Best of the South” poll by American Automobile Association (AAA) Southern Traveler Magazine and earned the 2012 Award of Excellence from Corporate & Incentive Travel Magazine.
