Marin Tockman

It's almost time for Super Gras - our favorite match up of football and Mardi Gras fans streaming into town!  Avoid the traffic jam downtown and choose the convenient and fun option to get to all the best events during the big week by riding a bicycle!

Bike Easy will be set and ready to park thousands of bikes for all the festivities downtown at our Indoor Bike Valet Secure Parking Station at Riverwalk Marketplace - it's absolutely safe, secure, and free!

Don't have a bike, but want a fast and cheap way to travel between the NFL Experience and Super Bowl Blvd activities?  The Super Bowl XLVII Host Committee, Entergy, the Downtown Development District, and Bike Easy are bringing B-Cycle to New Orleans so residents can try out for the first time a bicycle share free rental system for the whole week of NFL Experience and Super Bowl Blvd.  Come down to one of the Bicycle Share Kiosks at Riverwalk's Julia Street entrance near the New Orleans Morial Convention Center or Riverwalk's Canal Street entrance near the World Trade Center, check out a B-Cycle bike, and ride to the NFL Experience and Super Bowl Blvd activities for free!

What is Bicycle Share?
Bike Share is a network of bicycles and automated kiosks that allow users to make short trips (1 to 3 miles) quickly, conveniently and affordably. A small bicycle share system would have a profound impact on improving New Orleans' transportation network, and for those people who don't own bikes, it's a great way to get to your destination points in a healthy, comfortable and convenient manner.

What is Bike Valet?
Like coat-check, but for bikes!  Bike Easy's Bike Valet Program has been seen all over New Orleans at festivals and events.  Come ride to the NFL Experience and leave your bike safe and secure with us.  It's the hassle-free and easy way for event-goers to come festivals, makes you feel like a VIP just for riding to the event, and it's absolutely free!

For more information or to set up media interviews please contact or call our office at 504-861-4022.

Bike Easy (formerly The Metro Bicycle Coalition) is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to making bicycling easier, safer and more fun in Greater New Orleans.  New Orleans currently ranks sixth in the U.S. for bicycle commuters. The city now has 50 miles of bicycle routes installed with an additional 30 miles scheduled for installation by the end of 2013. Such progress would not be possible without Bike Easy positive working relationships with the Department of Public Works and the City Council. Bike Easy hopes to one day transform New Orleans into the most bicycle friendly city in America.

Membership supports the Bike Easy's goal to improve bicycle safety through education and advocacy. We advocate for the inclusion of bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure in road projects, ensuring the implementation of recommended policies and actions in the New Orleans Master Plan, and promoting bicycling as a fun and safe means of transportation and recreation across the area.  Learn more about the perks of membership at:
