Appoints New Managing Director
New Orleans (December 10,
2012) - Fillmore Hospitality
announced the appointment of respected New Orleans hotelier, Steve Ferran, as
Managing Director of The Maison Dupuy Hotel. As Managing Director of the luxury
French Quarter hotel, Ferran will oversee all aspects of the hotel and its two
restaurants including day-to-day operations of the hotel and staff, strategy
and business development, fiscal management, client retention and employee
recruitment.

thrilled to jump back into the hotel industry after taking a brief hiatus and
could not be more honored to lead the Maison Dupuy and its loyal staff," said
Ferran. "This is a very exciting time to join the Maison Dupuy team, with a new
management company at the helm and impressive plans for the future of the hotel

looking forward to bigger and better things," he added.
Ferran,
a 29-year veteran of the New Orleans hospitality industry, has served as
General Manager of several hotels including the Omni Royal Orleans and the Loews
New Orleans. He also held positions at the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in
Destin, FL. and the Renaissance Hotel in Baton Rouge, LA.
His
experience in the New Orleans hospitality community additionally includes
positions as Chairman of the Board for the New Orleans Convention and Visitors
Bureau, board member for both the New Orleans Hotel & Lodging Association
and the Past Presidents Council of the New Orleans Convention and Visitors
Bureau.
A
native of New Orleans, Ferran was ordained a deacon in the Catholic Church in
2006 and is a graduate of the University of New Orleans. He was a high school
teacher for eight years before beginning a career in the hospitality field at
the Royal Sonesta Hotel in 1984.
