Vending Machine Winery Installation at the Southern Food & Beverage Museum
The wines from Vending Machine Winery celebrate New Orleans and Louisiana through the names, such as Double Shotgun and Loula's Revenge, and the art on the labels. View them on display at SoFAB!
Neil Gernon describes the story behind one of their names that celebrates New Orleans architecture: "Double Shotgun is a Cabernet Franc/Petit Verdot blend. These two grapes are used in Bordeaux, but usually as blending grapes. The whole idea is that if these two grapes retired in New Orleans, they wouldn't be able to afford a mansion on St. Charles, but would instead share a double shotgun house. If you look at the transom windows, you will see CF and PV instead of addresses which are the abbreviated terms for the grapes living inside the bottle."
