NEW ORLEANS (Thursday, February 7, 2013) - The fifth annual Louisiana Derby Golf Tournament has been set for March 11, a Monday, at Lakewood Golf Club in New Orleans. Check-in begins at 11 a.m. with a catered lunch at Noon and a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
Proceeds from the tournament benefit backstretch workers and the Fair Grounds Chaplaincy.
The Louisiana Derby Golf Tournament format is a four-man scramble. Players may sign up as a complete foursome or as an individual to be assigned a team at random.
Entries are $125 per person or register a team for a discounted rate of $425 per foursome. Fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch and a gift bag. The Louisiana Derby Golf Tournament is limited to 30 teams.
Hole sponsorships are available for $150, or $100 with the registration of a foursome.
