The Only French Festival in New Orleans is Planned for March

The 14th Annual Fête Française is to be held on March 23

WHAT: Fête Française
Fête Française, an annual event organized by Ecole Bilingue, carries the distinction of being the only French Festival in New Orleans. It is a unique opportunity to celebrate the French heritage of the city and showcase all things French: language, cuisine, art and music.

The 14th Annual Fête Française theme is "Bleu, Blanc, Rouge."

This fun-filled event celebrates all things uniquely French and helps to keep the Francophone heritage alive and well in New Orleans and Louisiana through a variety of food, entertainment, children's activities and cultural demonstrations.

WHEN:  Saturday, March 23, 2013; 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

WHERE: 821 General Pershing Street (between Magazine and Constance streets)
Event includes the 800 block of General Pershing and the 4300 block of Constance

ADMISSION: Admission is free

WHO: Founded in 1998, Ecole Bilingue de la Nouvelle-Orléans (www.ebnola.com) serves over 190 students from 18 months of age through 5th grade. Ecole Bilingue follows the French National Curriculum and is one of only two French immersion schools in New Orleans that is accredited by the French Ministry of Education. The school's experienced teachers come from France, Canada, Africa, and the United States. Ecole Bilingue has a proud tradition of providing students with an education that is distinguished by its unique academic approach and supported by a robust and richly diverse student body.

Katrina Greer, the wife of New Orleans Saints cornerback Jabari Greer, is the chairperson of the 14th Annual Fête Française. She can be followed on Twitter @MrsKatrinaGreer.
