Planned for March
The
14th Annual Fête Française is to be held on March 23
WHAT: Fête Française
Fête
Française, an annual event organized by Ecole Bilingue, carries the distinction
of being the only French Festival in New Orleans. It is a unique opportunity to
celebrate the French heritage of the city and showcase all things French:
language, cuisine, art and music.
The
14th Annual Fête Française theme is "Bleu, Blanc, Rouge."
This
fun-filled event celebrates all things uniquely French and helps to keep the
Francophone heritage alive and well in New Orleans and Louisiana through a
variety of food, entertainment, children's activities and cultural
demonstrations.
WHEN: Saturday, March 23,
2013; 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
WHERE: 821 General Pershing Street (between Magazine and Constance streets)
Event includes the 800 block of General Pershing and the 4300 block of
Constance
ADMISSION: Admission is free
WHO: Founded in 1998, Ecole Bilingue de la Nouvelle-Orléans (www.ebnola.com) serves over 190 students from
18 months of age through 5th grade. Ecole Bilingue follows the French National
Curriculum and is one of only two French immersion schools in New Orleans that
is accredited by the French Ministry of Education. The school's experienced
teachers come from France, Canada, Africa, and the United States. Ecole
Bilingue has a proud tradition of providing students with an education that is
distinguished by its unique academic approach and supported by a robust and
richly diverse student body.
