Food Fest: America's Hometown Eats

Billed as "America's Hometown Eats," this year's FoodFest will be held in the historic French Market.
The festivities kick off with a dessert-first event titled "America's Hometown Sweets" on Friday, March 22 from 8-10 p.m. at Café Reconcile in the city's Central City neighborhood. Here you can sample some of the nation's best chocolates, cookies, candies, cakes, pies, and other delicious sweets direct from the confectioners who make them. Tickets for this special event are priced at $50 and can be purchased online.
On Saturday, March 23 the festival officially opens in the French Market at 11 a.m. and runs until 7 p.m. The following day's hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. General admission is free and there are charges for certain special events...and the food.
