NEW ORLEANS (Monday, March 4, 2013) - Funk-rock party-starters Flow Tribe have been tabbed as the opening act on the Jägermeister Stage at the first-ever Louisiana Derby Infield Festival set for March 30. Native New Orleans rockers Cowboy Mouth will headline.

Infield Festival General Admission tickets are $25 but fans can get $5 off by purchasing in advance during an online-only sale at fgno.com/tickets from March 8-18 (use coupon code "LD13"; limited to the first 2,000 purchased).

Infield Festival will also feature the city's largest gathering of food trucks and pop-up vendors.

Flow Tribe is a New Orleans-based funk-rock sextet. Formed in 2004, the group cut its teeth at Friar Tuck's Bar & Grill in Uptown and amassed a following through constant touring. In 2010 they appeared on an episode of MTV's The Real World and, later that year, earned a slot at the Voodoo Experience music festival, which annually attracts tens of thousands to City Park.

Coors Light and Jägermeister are the official beer and spirits partners of Infield Festival. Participating partners also include Lamarque Ford, Hotel Monteleone, Go Auto and East Jefferson General Hospital

The Louisiana Derby is a $1 million event for 3-year-old horses attempting to earn their way into the world's most famous horse race, the Kentucky Derby, held five weeks later at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. The richest and most prestigious Thoroughbred race in the Deep South, the Louisiana Derby will celebrate its milestone 100th running this year.

Infield Festival VIP tickets - which include access to an exclusive VIP area, four vouchers redeemable for free food and drink at any Infield food truck or bar, and use of the executive trailer restroom facilities - are $60.

Infield Festival access opens at 11 a.m. First post (the first race of the day) on Louisiana Derby Day is set for 1 p.m. (all times Central), with 12 races total scheduled for the day. The featured Louisiana Derby, to be televised nationally on NBC Sports Network, will run in the late afternoon during the five o'clock hour.
