New Orleans - March 6, 2013 - The Crowne Plaza New Orleans Airport, a hotel of the New Orleans Hotel Collection has proudly announced its sponsorship and support of the Nationwide Tour of Gowns for the "Brides Against Breast Cancer" charity wedding gown sale on Friday, April 5 and Saturday April 6, 2013.

The VIP Event at 6pm on Friday, April 5 features hundreds of new and gently used designer and couture gowns for viewing and sale, at prices from $75- $4000.  Veils, tiaras, bridesmaid's dresses and other bridal accessories are also on sale. Beverages, cocktail food and entertainment are included at this once in a lifetime event, held in the enormous Grand Ballroom of the Crowne Plaza Hotel at 2829 Williams Boulevard in Kenner. The VIP Event requires a tax deductible donation ticket of $20 per person for entry.

On Saturday, April 6, from 10am - 5pm, a general admission viewing and sale will take place in the Grand Ballroom. Admission to this event is free, but tickets are required.  Tickets for both events are available online by clicking here (http://www.bridesabc.org/) or by calling 877-721-HOPE. Free parking is available for both events. Special overnight hotel room rates can be found online at http://www.neworleansairporthotel.com/.

"The opportunity to support such an important charity, and welcome brides-to-be to the area's most dramatic and expansive ballroom at the same time was paramount in our decision to host this exciting event"   said Bill Bacelieri, General Manager of the hotel.

Proceeds from the gown sales are used to provide education, information and outreach to people impacted by cancer. The nationwide tour raises more than 1 million dollars annually to support cancer programs in local communities across the country. A portion of what is raised will be spent on Louisiana cancer awareness and education programs.
